The Rose Run - Los Angeles Virtual Run - Saturday, June 28
The Rose Run was started in 2009 in Michigan by Race Director and Petersburg native, Jessica Cribbs. Jessica’s mother, Rose Marie Hunt, who was also born and raised in Petersburg, lost her battle with Breast Cancer in January of 2009. To honor her mom and to raise money for Breast Cancer Research, Jessica founded the Rose Run in Petersburg, Michigan.
At the time of her mom's death, Jessica was a member of Moms In Motion's Los Angeles team. As a show of support for Jess and her mom, team leader Lucie created a "virtual run" in LA on the same day as the Petersburg race.
The Rose Run LA has been held every year since at A Runner's Circle in Los Feliz and hosted by Moms In Motion LA. This event is not timed and non-competitive. It is simply a fundraiser and chance to honor our loved ones living with or who have lost their battle with breast cancer.
